6/02 DB Lite 52.6 miles Southwest 7:00 a.m. start

Pretty scorchin forecast so please make sure you have two full water bottles and/or your 5 pound Camelback, what ever floats your boat, so to speak. Wind is supposed to be 10-13 out of the Southwest, so off we go into it so that we get a nice assist back home when it is particularly warm.

Here is the ROUTE.

This is a drop ride. With the extreme heat we are having, if you are not acclimated, you may wish to consider a less demanding ride than usual. However, I will take the conditions into account and adjust the pace accordingly to stay within the 16-17 mile posted average rolling speed. Moreover, no one gets dropped if they are struggling without an escort or confirmation that you have a timely and safe SAG strategy. In addition, at approximately mile 42, there is a little one star food mart (as opposed to the 5 star QT at our primary stop at mile 26) that we can get watered up if we need to.
