Saturday Step-Up

Saturday start time weather forecast is good, temp mid-70s to start, less than 10% chance of rain, winds 6-8 mph out of the south.  As always, should the situation on Saturday morning seem much worse than this, check this space or the Facebook PBA page for possible cancellation.  If I'm able to decide on any change, that announcement will be posted by 5:45 AM Saturday.  If you don't see an announcement by 6:00 AM then I'm headed to the start area and we'll call a go/no-go from there. (As always, cancellation announcements from Ron Shome, PBA Ride Coordinator, supersede whatever I might be considering or posting).  The Step-Up Ride start area is at the Gulledge Elementary School (west side Preston Meadow just south of Legacy).  Please sign-in by 7:15 AM for pre-ride safety briefing so we'll be able to start as scheduled at 7:30 AM.  Our goal is 13-14 mph avg.  The last 6 months we've come in 12.8-13.8 mph avg.   Please have checked and aired up your bike prior to the 7:15 AM briefing time and remember helmet, water, and tire repair kit.  We're scheduled to do the usual route, 31 miles.  For reference, the Step-Up ride map is linked to in the 3/26/2018 Step-Up Blog Post at the left under the Archived posts for March 2018.
