Saturday Step-Up

Step-Up Ride for Saturday, August 11th, start time is at 7:00 AM.   The weather forecast for Saturday is for 76 degrees at the start, winds out of the SW at 6 mph, but there's a 50% chance of rain, so stay alert for possible changes to the plans.  The Step-Up Ride start area is at the Gulledge Elementary School (west side Preston Meadow just south of Legacy).  Please sign-in by 6:45 AM for pre-ride safety briefing so we'll be able to start as scheduled at 7:00 AM.  Our goal is 13-14 mph avg.  The last 6 months we've come in 12.9-13.9 mph avg.   Please have checked and aired up your bike prior to the 6:45 AM briefing time and remember helmet, water, and tire repair kit.   We're scheduled to do the usual 31.2 mile route. If the rain comes in early Saturday or it looks like it's about to when you wake up Saturday and you're thinking that there might be a change in plans, check this space or the Facebook PBA page for any possible cancellation.  If I'm able to decide on any change, I'll post that announcement by 5:15 AM Saturday.  If you don't see an announcement by 5:30 AM then I'm headed to the start area and we'll call a go/no-go from there. (As always, cancellation announcements put out by Ron Shome, PBA Ride Coordinator, supersedes whatever I might be considering or posting, so look for anything from him as well).
