This ride was designed to get women interested in group riding in a non-competitive and relaxed atmosphere.
This is a No Drop ride meaning we won’t leave anyone to fend for themselves. We have a rider designated as a sweeper and will stay back to help when needed. That being said, we would like to finish the ride with that approximate average so be prepared to ride at the posted speeds. It’s an easy ride with few hills and is a lot of fun. Most ride road bikes; some use mountain or hybrid-type bikes (a road bike is much faster than the others). We teach good riding skills and practices that you can take with you to other group rides. You’ll learn the importance of riding single file, not crossing wheels with the rider in front of you, proper signaling, changing lanes and being a predictable rider.
Since this is a PBA ride, we encourage you to join our club although it is not required to ride. It’s a really fun ride and most ride because they enjoy the company (and banter that usually accompanies our group). Please join us!
