DB1, 5/16/2020, Zwift - London Triple Loops

Hi PBA Friends, I’ll be hosting a DB1-like Zwift ride Saturday morning at 8:20AM - we’ll ride the London Triple Loops route for 30 miles.

Please be sure to be in Zwift ready to go no later than 8:10AM, Zwift will prompt you to join the Meetup at that time. Zwift starts the Meetup automatically at 8:20AM so please do not be late!

Be sure to check out Meetups at https://zwiftinsider.com/meetups/ for instructions. In particular, please note that you must follow me in Zwift and I need to invite you. So if you want to join the ride, let me hear from you. You must also accept the invite. If you have ridden with us recently, I have already extended an invite to you.

Please note that this is a KEEP EVERYONE TOGETHER ride within Zwift. This means that Zwift keeps everyone together in this ride regardless of power output. You'll be able to draft and move around in the group without fear of being dropped unless you stop pedaling.

*IMPORTANT* for communication during the ride, we will only use the Discord app for verbal communication as it is highly cumbersome and untimely to message while Zwifting. I strongly encourage everyone to test this out prior to our ride. You should be able to connect to the Discord server below at any time.
a) The Discord app is free and can be found at https://discordapp.com - Download for your particular brand of smartphone.
b) Connect to the following server: https://discord.gg/xzwTXDU - Make sure you join the “Voice Channel” when connecting to the server.
c) Configure for Push-to-Talk to avoid excessive background noise - Go to Voice Channel, Settings, Input Mode, Push to Talk.

For ease of identifying everyone during this ride:
a) Append “PBADB1” to your last name in your Zwift settings (go to http://my.zwift.com, Login, Settings).
b) Use the Vintage 1 jersey (in the Zwift app, Menu, Customize, Jersey).

No rest stops, please have your fans, water bottles, towels, etc. setup and ready to go. I will attempt to keep this near a DB1 effort. Please expect the first 10 minutes at around 1w/kg to warm-up and then 2w/kg - 3w/kg for the remainder of the ride. We may adjust during the ride based on the tendencies of the group. Please note that this is a virtual drop ride (front and back).

Questions? Let me hear from you.
