8/11 BnB Classic 49 mi to Valley Ranch @ 7:00 am

The forecast is for SSW winds and I'm not fond of any kind of west wind coming across Renner, so we're going to Valley Ranch. After some folks' unhappiness with Hebron today and then hearing Barry's good review of Parker Rd west of Midway, we're going to use that instead of a lot of Hebron (but we still wind up on Hebron, so don't get too excited).
The usual details:
Expect an average speed somewhere in our 15.5 -16.5 mph range. Since this is a no drop ride, as long as someone is in the posted range we will stick with them.
One for-sure rest stop at around 28 miles at the Race Trac at Valley View and Luna. Other stops will be made as necessary.
Depart from the usual Bagels location at Legacy and Independence just north of Dunkin'.
Separate sign in and briefing from the "other" Bagels ride. We normally do sign-in just south/SW of the regular Bagels group, but still north of Dunkin'.
Wheels down at 7:00 AM
so be there ready to ride for sign in by 6:50.
The route will be
this one to Valley Ranch
.
As I said this is a no-drop ride, but choose wisely.
Be prepared to wait for the ride leader on top of most (or all) hills.
It goes without saying but I'll say it anyway: it's going to be kind of warm during the ride, so bring plenty of hydration.
See you in the AM!
