Summary
The PBA Pantry Pedal is a charity event that is part bike ride, part food drive and lots of fun! Participating riders will buy food items from local grocery stores that will be donated to Minnie’s Food Pantry in Plano. Opportunity for PBA to get wonderful publicity for work outside of cycling.
Minnies’ Food Pantry
Minnie’s Food Pantry is located at the corner of Independence and Parker. There is a need during the summer to feed school children who are not at school to get meals. A list of food staples has been provided to fill this need.
In 2017, Minnie's Food Pantry fed 37,000 people. Of that number, over 10,000 were children.

How
Participants will be given instructions that will identify three zones which will have three grocery stores per zone to visit. Participants will choose one grocery store in each zone. Participants can ride solo or with a team. Teams will be limited to no more than six people. Everyone on the team must stay together and purchase food items at the selected grocery store to be eligible for prizes. For example, if there are five people on a team, there should be five items purchased from each zone.
A family zone will be available allowing young riders to participate with an eye towards safety. (More information at registration table)
Food will be gathered and placed in the PBA Trailer for delivery to Minnie’s Food Pantry. Participants will provide grocery receipts so that PBA can tally the total amount spent on food along with how much food was donated.
