Step-Up Ride for Aug 15, 7:00 AM Start

Step-Up starts at the Gulledge Elementary School, which is just south of the intersection of Legacy and Preston Meadow in Plano. Step-Up is a no-drop ride that aims for a 13-14.5 mph overall rolling average. Speed at any one time can be anywhere between 9 and 25 mph depending on hills.


The weather forecast as of 10:30 AM Thursday, Aug 13 shows Saturday morning temps from low 80s to low 90s with heat index from high 80s to mid 90s. It will be humid. Winds are predicted at 9 - 10 mph sustained from South-west with no gusting predicted.

Please be at the start area ready to ride by 6:45 AM (15 minutes prior to the start of the ride) for the pre-ride safety briefing so we can be ready to start on time at 7:00 AM.


The Route for August 15th is the following 33.6 mile route last ridden on May 30, 2026. There is one planned rest stop at 18.7 miles.

It will be hot and humid on Saturday, August 15th. Hydrate in prep for the ride by drinking at least two large bicycle water bottles on Thursday and again on Friday of this week. 



Remember Helmet, gloves, water with electrolytes and flat repair kit and air up your tires the morning of the ride before the safety briefing.
