Tweeners Ride – Saturday, August 8

Meet at the start point for the 6:45 a.m. briefing. Wheels down at 7:00 a.m.

Route: TW 8 Traditional – Allen 42

Note: This route appears on the Tweeners blog as Tweeners 42 Ohio.

Distance: Approximately 42 miles

Pace: 15.0–16.5 mph developmental, no-drop ride

Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51604545

Please download the route before the ride and keep it handy as a backup.

It will be warm and humid from the start. The 7 a.m. feels-like temperature is expected to be around 80 degrees, with the finish feeling closer to 96 degrees and humidity around 71%. Start hydrating today, bring full bottles and carry whatever nutrition works best for you.

A reminder on pace: Tweeners is a 15.0–16.5 mph average, no-drop developmental ride. Everyone is responsible for being considerate of the posted average pace. If you’re feeling frisky and want to push harder, DB Lite may be the better option. Otherwise, please be ready to stay with the group and help keep the ride smooth, steady and enjoyable for everyone.

We’ll check in during the ride and add a second stop if needed. First-time Tweeners riders, please introduce yourself to me in the parking lot before the briefing.

It’s a great day to ride bikes, my friends!
