THURSDAY ADVENTURE RIDE

Thursday Adventure Ride is a 35 to 40 mile ride with a different route offered each week influenced by the direction and speed of the wind. The goal is to not ride the same old route every week. Average speed over the total distance is usually between 15.5 and 16.5 mph depending on the route, weather and dynamics of the group. Traveling speeds will range from 12 mph on hills, 16+ mph on the flats and 20+ mph down hills. There is always at least one convenience store rest stop with "options" for a second depending on the map and needs of the group. There are no sprint zones on the ride. The ride starts and ends at the NE corner of Independence and Legacy, north of Dunkin Donuts. Please park along Independence away from the shops and Dunkin Donuts. Riders are expected to have read the PBA group riding rules (link below).

This is a No Drop Ride, and but riders should have a SAG plan should you overestimate your ability, suffer a ride ending mechanical or just have a bad day.

Since all riders are not able to navigate hills at the same pace, the ride will occasionally “soft-pedal” or pull aside into a parking lot to let riders catch-up and regroup. We will not leave you behind until your SAG plan has been deployed. Join the PBA so you can use the Forum and Ride Logs. We communicate all changes through the Forum and the PBA Facebook Page.

Road bikes are required for this ride.
