This is a group ride that will stay together riding "tempo" with constant effort, not a Hammerfest. The idea is to ride in your small chain ring maintaining a high cadence and keeping your hr in your zone 3 range for most of the ride. We have two designated sprint zones on most of the routes and the ride leader will point them out as well as the end regroup point. Please have a sag plan in place in case you have gotten in over your head. There is one stop during the ride so pack your food and carry plenty of fluids as it gets plenty hot here in Texas. Be sure and check the forum on the night before the ride for updates and route maps as the route will change some each week
This is a no drop ride, which means â€˜no rider left behindâ€™. We will help if tires go flat, or minor mechanical failures occur, such that you will know how to do it for yourself if/when these situations occur. Please come prepared with extra tubes and a pump or C02 rig to inflate and plenty of water to keep you hydrated.
Before each ride there is a mandatory sign in sheet and pre-ride instructions that last approximately 10 minutes, so please arrive with enough time to get your self squared away and participate in the pre-ride instructions.
