PBA's Novice Ride will roll this Saturday, June 29th at 7:00 AM with Jerry Klein as your ride leader.  For a bit of a change we will be doing a mash-up route that will combine bits and pieces of the standard Novice route, other PBA routes, and throw in some streets that may be less familiar to regular Novice riders.  Just like a regular Novice Ride, there will be a mid-ride rest stop at the Tom Muehlenbeck Rec Center off of West Parker Road.  This NO-DROP ride will be about 17.4 miles in length with an average rolling speed around 11-12 mph.  Please make sure that your bike is in good working order before the ride, and remember that you must wear a helmet on the ride.  Guests are welcome to come and try out the ride.

The ride will start and end at Gulledge Elementary School on Preston Meadow Drive.  Please arrive in the parking lot before 6:45 AM to prep your bike, sign the ride safety waiver (required), and to listen to the pre-ride safety speech.  If you are new to group riding or new to the PBA, please read the PBA Ride Rules and Ride Preparation guidelines before coming out to the ride.  Both documents can be found on the PBA website at the bottom of the Saturday Novice Ride description.

NOTE: We are now in the hot and humid riding season, so it is imperative to be well hydrated before, during, and after the ride.  Be sure to bring plenty of water and some sort of electrolyte additive or your favorite sports drink and remember to drink often during the ride.
