UPDATE!!!

Unfortunately, we will have to cancel the Gravel Ride for Saturday July 3rd.
There is more rain in the forecast tonight which will make some stretches of the route in Merit extremely muddy.
In addition, with all the rain over the last few days across North Texas most alternate routes are expected to be muddy as well.
While we do not mind a bit of rain or getting dirty on gravel rides, the situation right now is just too unpredictable and would not ensure an enjoyable ride.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next PBA Gravel Ride will be happening this coming Saturday!
You have to travel to gravel!
We are planning to start from the parking lot of the Bland High School in Merit, TX at 7:30AM.
Address: 6164 FM2194, Farmersville, TX 75442. Easy to find.
Please sign up on the PBA website and be there by 7:15AM.
Bring your gravel, cross-country, or mountain bike. Gravel routes will not be suitable for road bikes.
We will be watching the weather this week and in case of excessive rain may need to change location and route to avoid too much mud. A bit of dirt is still part of graveling and part of the fun 😉
The ride consists of a 33 or 37 mile loop through Hunt county. Paved, gravel, dirt roads.
We have done these routes with PBA before about 2 years ago. Pace will be 12-13mph. This will be a no-drop ride.
We will keep the group together and regroup frequently since the emphasis is on having fun and enjoying nature outside the city limits.
There will not be any public restrooms on the route itself other than on the way to and from Merit.
Bring plenty of water to hydrate and your preferred nutrition.
Looking forward to this weekend!
