It's time to put your adventure helmets on and do g
ravel in the heart of Dallas ***
The address is 301 Canada Dr
MAP
and free parking is available at the Trinity Skyline Trail lot next to the Ron Kirk bridge. DO NOT park in the
Trinity Grove restaurant gravel parking. I will be in the blue Ford Escape w/ the olive-green bike and plan on being there at 6:30am. We ride at 7:00am!
***
Registration is required and must be a PBA member ***
This ride consists of a loop and which includes the Harry Hines and I-30 legs (8 miles each leg). Pace is about 11-13 miles avg.
For those that may need it, there is a bail-out route which consists of 5 miles of paved path back to the parking lot for a total distance of 19 miles.
All kinds of conditions will be encountered: pea gravel, loose gravel, chunky gravel, sand-like gravel, broken pavement, hard-packed dirt, even the road less traveled. The route is a fun, technical course. And because it's the levees, there are climbs and
descents.
The ride is a no-drop. Bring your Gravel, Cross, MTB, Bike-packing rig. While 32-35mm wide tires will be ok, 38mm and beyond allow better flotation. Tubeless or sealant-filled inner tubes are highly recommended as there are thorns and
debris
in certain places.
There are NO water stops so plan accordingly w/ water and nutrition.
Hope to see you there!
